Twelve Huffa Birds, Headless is an installation of 12 inflatable, flapping sound sculptures. Suspended throughout the exhibition space, the birds flutter, flap, expand and contract in a sonic environment of stereophonic bell rings, clicks and Portland traffic.

These seven tracks, recorded continuously over a 55 minute period, were made on March 12, 2008 just before departing for The Czech Republic. Much of this piece, however, is the near silent action of the wings flapping and the balloons expanding and contracting.
