Too Lips (pictured above)

These simple, elegant, kinetic sound sculptures are made from found metal resonators, curled threaded rods and washers. They are performed by releasing washers (moths) which cascade (flutter) over the threaded rod to generate sounds colored by the resonators. They may be played like an hour glass and are a mainstay of the artist's Sound Art Workshops. For this installation, they are presented as an interactive-standing work but have often been used for audience participation pieces in live concert performances.
