Description: Four-hand piano works for 1 or 2 pianos. Pieces may include one
additional instrument or voice. Works of 12 minutes or less will receive priority.
Submission details: Scores in PDF* format with accompanying MP3** audio or MP4 video
files sent to WaterhouseStudio@me.com by January 15, 2012. Also attach a text document
with: 1) duration of piece; 2) instrumentation; 3) short bio; 3) program notes; and,
4) additional performer parts in PDF format if necessary.

Cascadia Spring Concert
Deadline: December 17, 2011

Fee: Selected composer fee.
Eligibility: Cascadia members only; adjudicators may not submit scores.
Description: Instrumental works for 1-4 of the following: flute, clarinet, trumpet, French horn,
violin, cello, piano, and soprano. Other instrumentation will be permitted if provided for by the composer.
Media works (pieces for stereo playback with or without projected video) are
permitted. Works of 12 minutes or less will receive priority.
Submission details: Anonymous scores in PDF* format with accompanying MP3** audio or MP4
video files sent to WaterhouseStudio@me.com by December 17, 2011. Also attach a text document with:
1) duration of piece; 2) instrumentation (include performer names if other instruments are used); 3) short
bio; 3) program notes; and, 4) performer parts in PDF format. Two entries/composers will be
permitted with only one work/composer selected. Composers with work selected must
kick in about $100 (exact amount tba) to help defray performance costs.

Description: This fundraiser will feature the world premier of Tomas Svobodas Canon for
Twenty-two Pianos preceded by a concert of do-it-yourself member music. Any instrumentation
(piano provided) except media works for a performance at Sherman-Clay Piano on Saturday,
mid-January, 2012 at 3pm. Composers must provide their own performers.
Works of 12 minutes or less will receive priority.

New Media Event

Eligibility: Cascadia members only.
Description: A do-it-yourself fundraiser for new media,including live or fixed electronics,
projected image with sound (instrument accompaniment OK, graphic scores strongly encouraged)
for performance at Sherman-Clay Piano on Saturday, mid-February, 2012 at 3pm.
Composers must provide own performers. Works of 12 minutes or less will receive priority.
Concert setup will include a stereo PA, video projection, and grand piano.
Submission details: Works in PDF/mp3/mp4* format should be sent to
WaterhouseStudio@me.com by January 1st, 2012. If the files are over 10mb, send
link to online file. Also attach a text document with: 1) duration of piece; 2) instrumentation and
performer names, if any; 3) program notes; and 4) a short bio. One entry/composer.
